Taking down dictations!
The Three Elementary Musketeer!, María, Irene and Nansi (1ºC, 2016-17), take down "My Last Weekend". It's to practice the past tenses. As you can see, they did really well!
Would you like to do this dictation? Listen and stop after I finish each sentence or chunk. Remember this: first listen to the complete story, just listen. Then listen to the sentences in the dictation and stop the recording when I whisper "Stop". Then, listen to the story again to check. Then check your work with my text, and compare to our contributors' work! Didn't they do really well?!
Listen to the audio to take down the dictation!
My Last Weekend (about 150 words)
My last weekend was great. It was very exciting.
My friend Mary, from Canada, came for a visit. [On Saturday], we had a wonderful breakfast with pancakes and maple syrup. She told me about her life in English and in French because she's bilingual! She's from Quebec.
After breakfast, we drove to Málaga. We went to the port and we visited museums and art galleries. We had some "tapas" in the city centre, and Mary bought souvenirs for her family and friends.
In the evening, we went out dancing until 5 in the morning! It was fun! We met some boys from Finland and from Italy and Mary fell in love with an Italian. His name is Marco. We were talking and talking all night.
And well, on Sunday we stayed home with my family, and that was great, too! I love Mary. She's fun and she is always there when I need her.
