Boston Legal, by Kris (Av2, 2010-11) – 290 words
Some months ago, I watched a series called Boston Legal on TV, and it really surprised me, so now I am very keen on this series and I cannot miss any chapter!
Boston Legal's launch was in October 2004 in the USA, and nowadays you can watch it in Spain in Antena 3, or on the Internet. It is an American legal drama-comedy created by David E. Kelley, which originally ran on ABC from October 2004 to December 2008. During this time, it was nominated for 22 Emmy Awards, winning 5, and it was also nominated for 4 Golden Globe Awards, winning 1. Finally, it won a Peabody Award, too.
The series is about a group of attorneys working at the law firm of Crane, Poole & Schmidt. The main characters are: Alan Shore, Denny Crane and Shirley Schmidt. Alan and Denny are the stars in the firm, Denny is the older one of the two, and he is ultra-conservative, a womanizer and he suffers from Alzheimer disease. Alan is his best friend and he does everything to help him. Alan is very arrogant and a womanizer too, so Shirley has some hard work to control them, as the head of the firm.
The balcony scenes are what I enjoy most. The balcony is where Alan and Danny speak about their problems and the events that happen during the day. They usually drink a whisky and smoke a cigar. It is really funny!
If you want to have a relaxing and hilarious time watching TV, I would recommend this series. Even if you don't usually like law stories, do not be put off. Every chapter is different and you will find hilarious situations. Personally, I cannot stop watching it!
