I regret to inform you that you have been nominated (future)
I regretted being late that time! (past)
We stopped to pick Mary (inf - temporary interrumption)
Stop doing that! I can't stand it! (gerund - stop for good)
Try to listen to English for 10 minutes every day (inf - make effort)
