Sports & Health in Teenagers

Our lifestyles have changed and keep changing every day because we have a more sedentary way of life than before. In this article, I would like to answer some questions: What are the reasons for this change?  How does this affect young people? Nowadays, does it affect our health?

There are a lot of reasons that explain our lifestyle changes. First of all, there are less Physical Education lessons at school. In primary schools pupils used to have Physical Education at least twice a week and nowadays they only have one lesson a week. Another reason is that people practice less sport in their free time unless they have sports facilities conveniently located. Lastly, one of the most important reasons are new techonologies (videogames, the Internet, social networks...). They have a bad influence in healthy routines because we spend a long time in front a screen instead of doing exercise.

All of these reasons show that people have little interest in doing sports and all of these things affect their health.
We have to be careful with this, young people are vulnerable to numerous illnesses and this means that in a few years, when they grow older, they will have more health problems.

In conclusion, we must pay attention to the health of teenagers because if they become athletic people they will have a better lifestyle... The more sport they do, the better health they will have.
