Stage 3 - The Outside of the Forum. Communicating

3.1 Posting a message. Adding smileys. Editing a message (10' x 3 = 30')

3.1.1. Login, using your username (nick) and your password, remember?

3.1.2. Replying to an existing message

Step 1. Scroll down to the WebQuests category and click on the forum called "Your First Post".
Step 2. Click on the thread (topic) called "Registration"
Step 3. Below doodah's message you'll find a button, on your right, called "Post Reply". Click on that.
Step 4. Type the title of your message in the "Subject" line.
Step 5. Type your message in the box below.
Step 6. Add a smiley! just by clicking on the smiley you like.
Step 7. Finished? Just below your message you'll find a button called "Post Reply". Click on that. You have just posted your first message by replying to an existing thread.

3.1.3. Starting a thread

Step 1. Look just below the two-color box at the very top of the screen. Click on 1. Your First Post. (An alternative is that you find that forum just the usual way.)
Step 2. Now click on the grey button on your right called "New Topic"
Step 3. Type in the title of the new thread.
Step 4. Type your message.
Step 5. Scroll down a bit and click on "Post New Topic". You just posted a new thread! Congratulations.

3.1.4. Editing your message

Step 1. Click on any thread where you posted a message.
Step 2. Look for your message and look at the three green buttons it's got on its top right corner.
Step 3 . Click on "Edit", this means "Modify".
Step 4 . Edit your message (e.g. add something, correct a misspelled word, whatever!)
Step 5 . Scroll to the bottom of your message and click on "Edit Post". You made it!

Finally, click on the TP Forum banner at the very top, on your right, or on the word "Forums" just below that banner, on your left.

Remember to logout!
